Search everywhere optimization

AI SEO Services

Kova Team is an AI SEO agency. Our AI SEO services help established contractors and home service companies get found, cited and recommended when buyers ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews or Google AI Mode who to hire, and then turn those answers into calls and form submissions. We are based in Sacramento, serving clients across California and beyond, and we measure AI visibility the same way we measure everything else: by the leads it produces.

AI Overview placements

This is not a separate trick sold on top of SEO. AI assistants analyze trusted sources before they generate a response, and Google's AI features draw on the same index as traditional search, and AI-generated answers from ChatGPT and Perplexity lean on pages that search engines already trust, so AI SEO is the part of SEO services that makes sure those systems understand your business and choose you. If you want a plain read on where you stand, start with a free strategy call.

Who AI SEO Services Are For

This work pays off for established companies, typically doing $3 million or more a year, that depend on high-value calls and form leads: roofers, remodelers, restoration firms, fence and window companies, home builders and general contractors. It fits best if you have real expertise your website explains poorly, if you already invest in SEO but cannot see your AI visibility, or if you want one team tying search, website conversion and CRM data together. Other established businesses are welcome too.

AI SEO, GEO, AEO and LLM SEO: What the Terms Mean

The acronyms cause more confusion than they solve. They describe angles on the same job, not four products you buy separately.

TermPractical meaning
AI SEOThe umbrella: visibility across regular search and AI-generated answers
Generative engine optimization (GEO)Being cited and recommended in AI-generated answers
Answer engine optimization (AEO)Clear, direct answers a system can lift and show
LLM SEOAccurate understanding of your business inside large language models
AI visibilityHow often, where and how accurately AI tools mention you

We run all of it as one AI search optimization program alongside traditional SEO, because splitting it apart creates four invoices for work that should move together.

Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) Services

Generative engine optimization combines SEO best practice with what we know about how generative AI builds answers. The goal is to become a source an AI answer is built from. Google says a page has to be indexed and eligible to show with a snippet before it can support an AI Overview or AI Mode answer, so GEO starts with a crawlable, indexable site. From there, generated answers favor content they cannot get elsewhere: real project details, honest timelines, permit and planning experience, pricing factors, service limits and answers from your estimators. That original expertise is what earns a citation, and it is the hardest thing for a competitor to copy.

One customer question often fans out into several searches. "Who installs vinyl fencing and what does it cost" can become separate lookups for installers, pricing, timelines and permits. The business that covers each subtopic well shows up across the answer instead of hoping one page catches one phrase.

04 / 15

Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) Services

Answer engine optimization means writing so a system can pull a clear answer straight from your page. We put the direct answer first, then the detail: what a service includes, who it is for, what changes the price, how long it takes. We build FAQ sections around the objections your buyers actually raise, not definitions nobody asked about. Clear headings, natural language and short, factual paragraphs help both readers and the answer engines that quote them, and they improve your chances in featured snippets on traditional search engines too.

LLM SEO and Entity Clarity

AI models and other AI systems need to know exactly who you are, what you do and where you work. When your business name, services and service areas differ between your website, Google Business Profile and directory listings, assistants hedge or get it wrong. LLM SEO keeps those facts consistent everywhere and adds structured data that matches what is visible on the page. Structured data clarifies meaning; it is not a direct route into AI answers, and it must never contradict your content. We also check how assistants describe you today and correct the sources behind wrong answers, such as an assistant saying you do not serve an area you do. Done right, structured data helps AI platforms interpret your content accurately.

06 / 15

AI Search Visibility Tracking

Visibility only counts if it turns into contact. We start with a baseline: the questions a buyer actually asks when they need your service, tested across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI features, recording where you are mentioned, which pages are cited and where you are described incorrectly. AI citation tracking shows how often your brand is referenced and how that changes over time. Then we connect AI referral visits, Search Console data, call tracking, form submissions and your CRM stages, so we can show which AI visibility produced calls, forms and booked jobs. No single tool sees every step, and we are plain about what each one can and cannot measure. AI visibility metrics show your brand's presence in AI-generated responses across multiple AI search platforms, and that presence shapes how potential customers perceive you before they ever visit your site.

07 / 15

Google AI Overviews and AI Mode

Google's AI Overviews appear above the regular search results for many questions, and AI Mode lets people ask follow-up questions in a conversation. Both pull supporting links from pages already in Google's index, so a page that cannot rank in traditional search will not appear in these AI search results either. Google uses retrieval and grounding to anchor answers in real pages and shows supporting links to the sources it used. Because AI-generated answers often reduce the need to click, being one of those cited sources matters more than ever, and a clear page has to turn the visitors who do click into calls.

08 / 15

Traditional Search Engines vs AI-Powered Search

Traditional SEO focuses on keywords, search rankings and clicks from search engines. AI-powered search experiences weigh context, intent and trusted sources more than exact phrases, and answers questions directly. What does not change is the foundation: crawlable pages, useful content, accurate business details and a trusted reputation. AI SEO expands that foundation rather than replacing it, which is why we run both together and why we are wary of SEO agencies that pitch AI search as a whole new discipline.

09 / 15

How We Use AI Tools in Our Own Work

Traditional SEO relied on manual workflows: human keyword research, spreadsheet content audits and monthly ranking checks. AI tools now automate repetitive tasks like technical audits and first drafts of meta tags, help identify technical issues that affect search performance, analyze search queries to find keyword and content opportunities, and flag content gaps, weak structure and readability problems. They also make near real-time monitoring and faster performance reporting possible. Human expertise is still essential to control quality and strategy: people decide which findings matter for your business and write content built from your real projects. Automation finds problems; it does not decide what will produce booked jobs.

What Our AI SEO Services Include

  • An AI visibility baseline across the major assistants and Google's AI features
  • Technical optimization: crawling, indexing, canonicals, internal links and page speed, with key information in text rather than images or scripts
  • Service and location pages that make it clear what you do and where, without mass-produced duplicates
  • Original expert content built from your projects and your team's knowledge
  • Consistent business information and structured data that matches the page
  • Google Business Profile accuracy, which feeds both Maps and AI answers
  • Lead tracking from AI referral to call, form and booked job
  • Ongoing retesting and reporting on what moved, what produced leads and what is still unproven

Strong local visibility and a clean site carry much of the weight; see our local SEO services and technical SEO services pages for those pieces.

What AI SEO Does Not Require

A lot of what gets sold as essential is not. Google says there are no extra technical requirements for AI Overviews or AI Mode beyond normal SEO, no special AI schema, and no ideal word count. You do not need a separate page for every possible prompt, and nobody can promise a fixed placement in an AI answer. If an agency builds its pitch around secret files and markup tricks, be skeptical.

Proof: AI Search Results for Kova Team Clients

These are specific clients' results over the stated periods, not a promise of yours.

  • Fantastic Fence (fence contractor, Sacramento area) received 14 form leads from ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini from January to July 2026, 5 of them in July. Those AI leads arrived alongside its search and map growth: organic leads went from 129 a month in December 2025 to 217 in July 2026.
  • Towerpoint Wealth (Sacramento wealth management firm): keywords appearing in Google AI Overviews grew from 138 in December 2024 to 5,718 in September 2026, by Semrush estimates.
  • A Sacramento-area roofing and construction company: AI Overview keywords grew from 17 in December 2024 to 15,595 in February 2026, by Semrush estimates.

Semrush figures are third-party estimates, not Search Console data, and we label them that way. More on our case studies page.

How Our AI SEO Process Works

  • Diagnose. Test the questions that matter, check technical health, and find where you are invisible or described wrong.
  • Fix the foundation. Clear the technical and content gaps holding your pages back. Our SEO audit services cover this step on its own.
  • Build answer coverage. Expand the pages, facts and expert content that make assistants trust and recommend you.
  • Track through to leads. Connect an AI mention to a visit, a call or form, and a booked job, then adjust.

We diagnose before we sell. Sometimes the problem is not AI visibility at all, and we would rather tell you that than bill you for work you do not need.

How to Choose the Right AI SEO Agency

Many SEO agencies now sell AI SEO solutions. Ask any AI SEO company you consider:

  • Do they diagnose before they pitch a package?
  • Do they report on calls, forms and booked jobs, or stop at mentions?
  • Can they show real AI-sourced leads with dates?
  • Do they treat AI SEO as part of your technical SEO and website, or as a relabeled add-on?
  • Do you own your website, accounts and data?

We answer client requests the same day. Kova Team is a BBB Accredited Business with an A+ rating and a Semrush Agency Partner.

FAQ

AI SEO Services FAQ

How much do AI SEO services cost?

AI SEO is part of our SEO service, which starts at $8,000 a month. Scope depends on your site's condition, content gaps, market and how many services and locations you cover. It is built for established companies doing about $3 million a year or more. See our pricing page.

How long does AI SEO take to show results?

Early movement often shows in 30 to 60 days, with bigger gains over three to six months, faster in less competitive markets. Google can take days to months to recrawl and process changes, so nobody can promise a date.

Is SEO dead now that people use ChatGPT?

No. AI assistants and Google's AI features rely on indexed, trusted content, so foundational SEO is what gets you recommended. Fantastic Fence's 14 AI assistant leads came on top of strong search and map results, not instead of them.

Can ChatGPT do my SEO for me?

It can help draft copy and research ideas. It cannot verify your technical health, track your leads or decide what will produce booked jobs. It is one tool, not the strategy.

Do I need a separate GEO agency and SEO agency?

No. GEO, AEO and LLM SEO run on the same foundation as search and Maps. One team handling all of it avoids paying twice for work that should move together.
